Postage
Postage will be charged as specified on the sale page. There are three scales of charges, UK, EU and Worldwide. The post will be sent through the Royal Mail. In the UK it will be sent First Class Recorded delivery. Outside the UK the package will be insured. Outside the UK a tracking number will always be obtained and e-mailed to you. Unfortunately, due to Royal Mail procedures, that will only be good for the part of the trip within the UK. Where several items may be combined, I will let you know of the postage cost. Surface mail is much, much cheaper, let me know if you can accept the time delay. I really do apologise about the non-UK postage prices, however I am subsidising them a little to make them less painful.
Unless the pen is boxed, it will be put in a velveteen pen sleeve, wrapped in tissue or bubble wrap, placed inside a length of PVC tube and may be wrapped in another layer of bubble wrap before being despatched in an envelope. If the pen is sold with a box, then the pen will be suitably restrained within the box, and the box wrapped in bubble wrap before being despatched in an envelope.
I will not falsify customs documentation to make the pens seem worth less than they are. The customs declaration will be the invoiced value of the pen(s), and a receipt will be provided in the envelope to verify the amount paid.
Payments
Within the UK payment may be by Cheque, Postal Order or Paypal. Outside the UK, Paypal only. For Paypal payments I will send you a Paypal invoice, and will despatch the goods once the payment has cleared. For Cheques and Postal Orders, I will post the items when payment has cleared.
Guarantee
The pens are guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of receipt of the pen against defects in workmanship and materials. Wear and tear through normal use is excluded from this guarantee, as is abuse of the pen (eg putting it in a trouser pocket and then breaking the pen when you sit down...). It should be noted that the chrome plating used on the kit pens is extremely hard wearing, though the gold plating is less durable due to the softness of the main component of the plating (this applies to all gold coloured plating).

The sale is covered by English Law
The goods remain the property of Chestnut Pens until full payment has cleared, whereupon the title of the goods transfers to the buyer.
If there is a problem found on receipt of the goods, Chestnut Pens is to be informed within 7 days, and agreement as to the remedial action will be agreed between the parties as soon as practicable thereafter.
If a problem occurs within the guarantee period, Chestnut Pens must be informed within the guarantee period for a claim to be made on the guarantee.
